Loudoun County Leesburg 10K/20K Race

Leesburg VA The YMCA Loudoun County Leesburg 10K/20K Race sponsored by Harris Teeter got off to a running start on Sunday morning, August 12, 2007. The weather cooled off enough that the morning air was comfortable and in favor of the runners.  The race had 1470 registered runners, and 1308 runners who finished the race   Over $60,000 was raised, all of which stays in Loudoun County.  $2500.00 will be given to each of the following charities: Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing, ECHO (Every Citizen Has Opportunities), Loudoun Adult Day Center, and Loudoun Interfaith Relief.  The remainder will go to the YMCA Loudoun County.  All five of these charities provide programs and services that are invaluable to the families of our community.  The YMCA Loudoun County 10K/20K Race committee would like to thank all our corporate sponsors and volunteers who helped make this race a success.  A special thanks to our Title Sponsor Harris Teeter and local Lansdowne Harris Teeter store for all there support.  Thank you to ALL our generous sponsors who supported this year race!
